Hi everyone, I haven't visited the site for a while I have been to sad. Marilyn is now in a phsyc hospital and her doc says probabily until she passes. She doesen't know me anymore. I have had some personal health trouble since October. Started with a ruptured apendix and when the Dr did a CT scan he found a tumor on one of my kidneys. It has been diagnosed as cancer and will be removed the end of January. Thats all the good news I have for this year so I'll sign off with a Very Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year.
I am so sorry to hear of your personal issues. Hopefully the surgery will take care of everything. Marilyn is in a good place and you did your best. You are in my prayers. Have a peaceful Christmas and a healthier New Year!
selwenfarmer it may be hard to see any good in all that's happened, but your Marilyn now has 3 shifts of caregivers looking out for her,while you make sure they do it right. That takes lots of pressure off you, so you can concentrate on recovering from the appendectomy and the coming cancer surgery. I'm not saying this was a good way for things to come together for you, but it looks like the lemons morphed into a lemon cream pie. In my time as a Caregiver I've seen such things happen more than once. Have a Blessed Christmas with Marilyn and plan on a Good New Year.
