I read this on FB from my daughter. Just heard a fire rescue vehicle enter our development, sirens wailing. Suddenly, we are accosted by the sounds of holiday music throughout the neighborhood. My hands were busy, but husband ran out to witness the spectacle, of a truck full of our heroes, bringing holiday cheer. How cool is that? Later on they heard the music from another development across their canal.
It is the things that suck Emily that help us to stay grounded and learn. That is what has afforded us all the opportunity to meet and form such a strong bond. As hard as times get it is a blessing to have such wonderful people to share bad times with.
bluedaze* your account of the fire truck playing holiday music reminded me that we will experience the same thing this Sunday, but in addition to the music & the fire fighters, Santa will also be riding on the top of the truck. Our local volunteer fire department has done this for years & the kids really look forward to it. This year I know my DH will enjoy it too.
Life can be good .......if your breathing and standing upright. Life can be good.............if you have Alzheimers and have a loving and caring Caregiver. Life can be good if you don't have Alzheimers. Having had weeks of all consuming work and taking care of Hubby I haven't had a moment to check in. Life can be good sometimes it takes someone to remind us of it's simple pleasures......thank you bluedaze* :)
