Well, it was quite a trip. So glad we went. I'm pretty tired tonight, but should have a new blog up sometime tomorrow. Lots learned about Sid from the relatives' perspective. And I got a real REST. No driving. Plenty of naps. No worrying about Sid. Everyone else took care of him for the most part. As I predicted, he was happy to sit and throw toys for the dog to run after. And the dog was happy to oblige. A 70 lb. black lab who thinks he's a lap dog. A week of kids, friends, and relatives. Loved it.
Wow! Everyone else took care of Sid? What a treat for your tired, worn out bones (at least mine are from caregiving and yours should be with all that you handle everyday - IMHO :-). I just love being with our grandkids, but it is not ever much of a rest for me, usually a rest for their mommy. I don't get them much anymore because of dh's condition, so I covet my time with them even if they do wear me out - it's a good kind of tired. Glad you had such a good time and I hope you can do it again real soon.
