i have heard it said that they work best given together. stage 5 i would still give it if its helping. end stage is when it becomes obsolete at least most of the time. some patients drop dramatically once the go off some do better. its a hit/miss

the last week she can't get her head off of her chest, says it doesn't hurt but a therapist has been working with her for a week but still no improvement,I'm wondering if maybe too many meds over too long of a time, who really knows how so many drugs interact with each other,at one time she was taking 16

old don you may want to request a powpow with the on call NH doctor on her case. and ask what each drug is for. what they took a few months before for different behaviors may no longer be warranted once they take a new step in stages. i know with my DH diminished kidney issues meds tend to build up rapidly in his system and can become quite toxic if not watched. ask how much fluids shes getting as well as if they are registering urine output. that can give an idea how the kidneys are working. maybe you can find some of these meds could be eliminated one at a time to see if she improves. while most meds given can improve quality of life in correct dosings, overdone can produce the exact opposite as we see here alot. good luck
