Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I do feel like you all are family. You do not have to be BLOOD family to love, care and understand one another and you folks on here have proven that countless times. When I need a shoulder I know I can come here and never be rejected or turned away. thank you all from the bottom of my heart and I hope you all have a great day!

Blessings to all of us who have the true one commonality of walking this disease together. its not without saying that this is a very special group of folks who hold each other up when the legs of support begin to fail. a disease that takes the ultimate sacrifice and gives nothing in return is not an easy foe. without the support of this group and friends who understand the traumas we go thru i doubt many of us would still be standing. hugs to all and a very happy thanksgiving, a day to reflect on the parts of our lives that can make us grateful and for happier memories .

Happy Thanksgiving to the best family around. Many days you all have held my hand and keep me going with kind words and prayers. May you truly find enjoyment for a while today.

May I add my best wishes for as happy a day as possible. I'm thankful today that I have the food to prepare and am capable of doing it. I have two dear friends who are no longer able to prepare Thanksgiving for their family. I pray everyone here at Joan's will have a peaceful and blessed day. Even in these sad circumstances that we are living in now there is much to be thankful for. (Keep reminding yourself of that, Flo)
    Hugs to all ( ) ( )

I can't tell you how grateful I am that this dead bird eating tradition has come about forcing me to dodge all my life that horror of horrors - pumpkin pie. What grotesque person decided to scrape out the insides of a giant gourd and bake that on othewise perfectly good pastry? The only thing I'm sure of is that they hated people.

Happy Thanksgiving! (We had ours last month up here)

Wolf - I don't like pumpkin pie either. I do like raw pumpkin, but not cooked. My husband prefers custard pie and I prefer.....well..apple, cherry, peach, strawberry rhubarb, turtle pie, chocolate creme pie, ....

I am going to make bread stuffing, cook a couple chicken breast fillets, green salad. that's it

I truly hope everyone had at least a peaceful day today. I have so much to be thankful for and I am. I love and appreciate all of you here. Don't know what I'd do without you. Bless you all.

yuymmmm.......hollowed out giant gourds in crust with whipped cream, you people are missing out!

I have a gourd business, all types of hardshells crafted in to various bowls, birdhouses, ornaments etc. I could hear their feathers ruffling when the mention of being hollowed out and eaten came...

We ended up being taken out to dinner at the one restaurant in our town, and it was very good, especially the pumpkin pie. So my sad start to the day ended up pretty darn good.

yes thankful for that, and all of you.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you also! I am thankful for all of you and your wonderful support. I love to eat dead birds stuffed or hollow, and made both pumpkin and apple pies!
