Dazed, go to a health food store. Tell them what you want. They will have the right brands. You can have liquid or capsules. I used the liquid myself. I now use Coromega. It comes in packets. Doesn't need refrigeration. And has the same quality of product. Much easier for someone like me to use because I have a problem with pills. That is what my daughter sends down to Honduras for my sil's grandmother.

The Fish Oil is amazing. My husband is on a drug that interacts with it so he can't have it, but it is good for a lot of different problems and mostly doesn't have side effects.

The capsules are Sealogic, and I get them from Trilogyonline.com or 1-877-387-4564. It is available in liquid form also (yuk). I do not believe this stength and type is available in local health stores, but may be wrong. Getting them in the mail works great..one jar a month as four capsules daily is the dosage. I totally swear by them.

DH was prescribed fish oil when he just had MCI. Got it from Wal=Mart. Is that the same stuff? I'd like to try it for my arthritis. I prefer the capsules. The liquid would remind me of cod-liver oil that my mother gave me because she thought it would do me good. Oh, my. That was nasty stuff. She just said "Quit yer complaining until you have something to complain about." She's been gone 20 years now and every once in a while I miss her funny but true sayings.

Mawzy-I'll never forget the taste of cod liver oil. Funny thing is with everyone taking fish oil now are we back to the same thing. Mother was right!

Mawzy, not the same at all. The info I gave is where you can find it on line, it has been a real gift for me.

I buy mine over the internet. Norwegian fish oil tablets. You don't want the regular ones. I have perfect cholesterol levels, & so does my husband since taking them. My cholesterol levels have always been good, his not.

I went to a nature food type workshop over the weekend. She swears cod liver oil is what we all need, once a day. Some brand called Arctic or something like that is supposed to be the best.

No, they aren't the same as the stuff at Wal-Mart. The Norwegian fish oil tablets are the prescription grade and that was what my local health store carried. Hum... I didn't know about the cholesterol, but it makes sense. This is the GOOD OIL type of oil, so it promotes good cholesterol.

By the way good fish oil has not taste except for a slight orange flavor that they put into it because it would be totally tasteless otherwise. I switched to the Coromega because I needed to have something while we travelled and discovered that I prefered it and it worked just as well.

Not! Don't take a retail clerk's over the best advice.
