Last night he was tossing and turning endlessly, ripping the sheets off and on and so I went in to check. He gets cold, then really hot. When I touched him he was covered in cool sweat!! He kept saying he was fine, but I gave him two tylenol and it seemed to settle him down.

    Oh our dear poor mates.

He is declining, I think, rather quickly. Maybe I am wrong. It has been one year since diagnosis, big changes since then.

coco these poor guys can tend to dehydrate and suffer whats called Urinary tract infections UTI.. rather suddenly at times. if hes sweating then chilled, maybe a check to make sure hes got no temperature and that hes urinating ok? but many uti are silent, and dont show too many symptoms until they get really infected. just a thought to keep in mind if there is alot of restlessness out of the blue.

Oh gee, you know he was peeing alot last evening...arrghhh..we live so far from a doctor and in fact drove the 3 hours the other day for his check up.

I have some Amoxiccillin left over from one of his past prescriptions, very temped to give it to him though there is only a 3 day supply.

think I will wait until the morning and call the doctor. Oh man I cannot miss more work, if I take him back to town I will miss work again. oh dang dang I hope he is ok. I know it is more important than work. No one else to help out.

yes i think just calling the dr and see what he says. they dont like to give antibiotics unless its warranted and have an infection. and usually its about 7-10days worth.

if you can get an over the counter test strips called AZZO at a walgreen or local pharmacy you can run it under his urine and see if it tests positive or not for bacteria. it will give the dr a headsup early if its positive. just a thought..
