My DH's neck and ear area is yellow in color, kind of like jaundice. Is that my imagination or is it possible that his skin color could be changing. Of course it could also be something else wrong with him but I am hoping not. Has anyone else noticed this!?

I think if it's jaundice it usually is accompanied by yellow eyes.

If not. it could be caused by diet or 396 other things: http://www.rightdiagnosis.com/symptoms/yellow_skin/causes.htm

Probably best to get him to a doctor...

It is best to get to dr. I have seen jaundice without yellow eyes.. I know baby's skin will turn yellow when they eat a lot of yellow or orange veggies.

Around about the same time I noticed that he had, speaking of eyes, blood in the corner of his right eye. mary, thanks for the website I am going to look that up now. He sees the nurse in a couple of weeks for his borderline diabetes. Maybe that might even have something to do with it. Keeps me hoppin'

Not sure I would wait a couple of weeks. If it is something serious it may be able to be treated easily now but not so easily later.

I agree with phil4:13...Deb, maybe you could at least call the Dr's office and let them know what is going on. Especially with the blood in the corner of his eye...there could be bleeding somewhere. I would have it checked out.

Oh my!, the blood in his eye is gone but I didn't know he could be bleeding somewhere else. I am going to call the VA's 24 hour nurse.

When I said "bleeding somewhere"...I meant it was probably in or behind the eye...But it's totally gone now? I am sorry if I worried you, Deb. What did the VA Nurse have to say?

IF it is just ears and neck, he might have gotten something on his hands and rubbed his ears and neck transferring the color. Never have know of jaundice just effecting those area or those area first for that matter. Let us know what you find out.
