    I din't know if anyone lives near Jacksonville Fl-but-- A dear friend of mine was planning on taking her AD mom on a trip to visit relatives and then go to live with a daughter. She was not being brought back to her own house. Mom in complete denial. Then I saw this post SILVER ALERT: Jacksonville - Mandarin/Southside area: Mom left her home near Mandarin Hi at 9:45 this morning driving gold Saturn 4dr station wagon. Police notified, please call 911 if you see her. Family is out searching for her.

    I'm so sorry, bluedaze*. I assume they were still letting her drive. Prayers that she will be found safe.

    Just found out my friend's mom doesn't qualify for a silver alert because she does not have an "official" diagnosis. 12 hours and counting.

    It's ironic-the mom's appointment was for next week. Cops sited HIPPA as a reason for not issuing a silver alert. I gave my friend the hot line number for the AA hoping they can help. It's going to be a long night. I appreciate your support.

    The woman was found this morning 80 miles from home. She is ok. Thanks for all your good thoughts.
