I was floored by a statement I read in my own term life policy. If a doctor believes I have less than 24 months to live, the polciy will pay out in full. This is so much cheaper than a Long Term Care policy, and there are no requirements for ADL none, no approval for where you get the care, no paying out of pocket for 60 days before LTC policy pays a dime. Yes it is only 2 years, but that seems like a really good deal give the cost of a LTC policy
They call it an accelerated death benefit rider. If you have not been diagnoised and can get coverage I would highly reccomond you look for a policy with this benefit. My policy is from Western Reserve Life.
