I have a question but I’m not sure if anyone here can help me or if I should just ask Dr. Josh. I give my DH 25mg of Seroquel at night & it has helped with his aggression & it helps him to sleep, BUT he refuses to go to bed unless I go too & sometimes I’m just not ready to go to bed when he is & I just want time to myself. I was considering giving him some melatonin too, but the question is, can I? Can I mix the melatonin with the Seroquel? Anyone have any ideas?

ElaineH, Why don't you Google Seroquel and Melatonin and see what pops up. I do that quite often when I want to know something.

elaine the easiest and safest way is to call your pharmacy. speak to the pharmacist directly and he can check that out.
  1.
I gave both at the same time--his neuro said it was ok. He was on much more Seroquel than 25 mgs. Check on how much melatonin--I think I could give up to 3 pills, but only gave 2. Not sure of the dosage. The neuro said that amount had been studied and was safe for AD patients. It did help him sleep and worked for a year.

Jean21, I did Google (Seroquel & Melatonin) & from what I read it was OK to give them together. So with the Seroquel I gave him 1mg of melatonin & it did seem to help him fall asleep faster without any side effects. Thanks divvi & marilynMD for your input. I know that I always get good responses here when I have a question.
