Recently someone said in a post that they would like to have a cat but, could not due to allergies. Someone suggested a hairless Sphynx cat. If you would like to see what they look like, go to catoftheday.com Todays cat is a sphynx
Thanks for the link. I knew what they look like, but not what type of cat-onality they have. Sounds like a real sweetie.
I'm pretty sure I ended up with some of that poisoned cat food, too. I was buying Eukanuba senior cat canned food by the case -- it was the only senior cat food my tortoiseshell would eat. When I opened the first can from a new case, I noticed it was a slightly funny color -- a little white-ish -- and I sometimes caught a faint whiff of a strange odor. The first day, my cat nibbled at it, but after that, she refused to get near it, and she moped around for a couple of days. Every can that I opened looked the same, and she rejected all of them, so after looking at more than half of the case, I finally took the rest of it back to PetCo and asked for a replacement. I thought maybe a shipment had gone through a series of freeze-and-thaw cycles, or something. I also bought a second case since I was now out of cat food. The cans in the first case I opened were fine, and the cat snarfed the food down. Second case, every can had slightly off-color food and the cat would NOT go near it, even if I didn't give her anything else. Two days of that, and I took the case back for a replacement.
PetCo was starting to get a bit huffy by now, but their policy says I can get a refund or replacement for ANY reason. We did have a rather brisk discussion on the topic, however.
Three days later, the news broke about the poisonings...
