This is a brand new thing! Yes, he has been putting horseradish on his vegtables for a long time and even though I don't like it I have put it on his food because I know he has trouble tasting things. Today he asked for barbaque sauce on his mandarin oranges!!! YUCk! Does this still mean his trouble tasting food or is it something else? Maybe this should be in the alrighty then thread.
My DH puts barbaque sauce on meats. And grated cheese on just about everything else. He was a very picky eater and now eats anything I put in front of him.
Texas Pete is the flavor of the day, here.. I don't know why I bother to cook anything, he douses everything with it and there is no way he can taste the "original" dish... That and black pepper.. lots of it... DH is loosing weight but eats like a horse... could it be the hot stuff is burning a trail in his intestine...
Peggy, I'm not glad your husband is losing weight, but I am glad it's not just me. Daughter who's never here commented today (since she's here today) that her dad looks small. He has lost about 20 lbs since a couple or so years ago, even though I do feed him. I just view it as premature aging, the way old frail people seem to get smaller and smaller, but in his case the AD is triggering that aspect of aging early.
DH went through the stages of putting cheese on everything; then it was honey, and now it's honey mustard. Doesn't matter what it is - gotta have that honey mustard!
