My husband's Air Mattress came today. I don't know what the problem is, however, his head keeps sliding off his pillow & his legs have fallen off the bed twice. I finally placed the dinning room chairs against the bed to keep his legs on the bed. He looks like he is sleeping in a hole. Any suggestions from others who have used this type of mattress????
Something is wrong with the installation. Call the outfit who brought it and set it up...this should not happen. We had problems at first wtih the one we had for my mom..it was an easy fix but the company that set it up needs to take care of business for you.
I agree, I think you have a defective mattress....the alternating pressure air mattress I had for my husband was very solid and did keep him safely on the bed.
I feel also that something is not right. I adjusted his head several times through the night. It is like he is laying in a hole. Also, it is very loud, which is constant...is this normal???
kadee do you have rails on your hospital bed? if you put those up it will keep him from sliding off. not sure what the problem is but you should call the company back and have them come check it out. maybe its not inflating properly if hes in a hole. it should be flat and hold his weight. divvi
Kadee the one Lynn has is very quiet, I often check just to make sure it is working. The one my Uncle had from Hospice was louder, but not overly so. As Sandi said it should be flat and solid, no slack at all, certainly not a hole. I hope you get a replacement very soon.
I did call Hospice, they contacted the provider. I noticed there was a hole...looks like a burn mark, so that may be the problem. The provider is bringing a replacement. This one is so loud, that I can hear it 2 rooms away.
Received a new mattress....the other had to be defective, because this one holds him correctly. The other one looked like he was laying in a hammock. Also, this one is much quieter.
