This week our power was off around 24hr., during that time my hb was telling me every 5min. or so that the tv was off. The power was finally on and I went to turn the tv on and was having trouble get the remote to work so rather to get frustrated I decided to try later. I came back later to turn it on and he was sleeping so I decided to leave it off, it has been off since the power came back on and he hasn't mentioned it. I guess what I'm asking is, is it possible for him to adapt to a new routine because he's forgotten his previous routine? I really am puzzled as to why he is not still obsessing about the tv being off. Anyone have any ideas as to what has happened?
I think that he has forgotten the previous routine. Eric did the same thing with TV when occasionally it was on the fritz. He seemed to live in the moment.
all we can say about paranoias and obsessing is what interests them one day may not the next. its been a few days but his 'remote' may click in again and pick up where he left off. :) or he may truly forget about what bothered him before and move on to something else. which happens alot. what we learn is dont get set in your ways as the disease is everchanging and we must adapt and revise to stay one step ahead. cross your fingers it lasts. divvi
That is the one thing that we can count on with this disease. It is always changing, the changes are happening faster now and I am having trouble keeping up. I get use to the way he is and about the time I do it changes again and my head is always swimming.
