Kissies on your sore shoulder, Joan. Just know that you'll get better and beetter - the worst part is over. Do what the Physical Therapists tell you and refrain from saying out loud all of the thoughts you will think during the therapy sessions.
Sending positive thoughts your way Joan. I know you must be in pain ... :( I hope they are able to give you something to make you more comfortable. ((big, but gentle hugs))
Thank you. excellent surgeon and anesthesiologist. I'm home. lot of pain. can't move much. feel like been hit by truck. one finger left handed typing. strict orders from arlene to stay off of website and not work or worry about anything. too tired and too much pain to do anthing but recuperate. gotta go. thank you for good wishes.
lol Pris, just reading this I almost said yes Ma'am!
Joan I am so glad you check in with us, but so sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I hope it let's up soon and that your recovery goes smoothly! Much love <3
Joan, take advantage of the opportunity to not only get the physical rest you need, but get the emotional rest too. Let Arlene handle Sid & just take a day or two to let your brain rest. You’ll be back to the everyday stuff soon enough! (((HUGS!)))
For those who have e-mailed me with reqests for information and answers to questions, please understand that I cannot until next week. Can't. Too tired. Still pain even tho on pain meds and muscle relaxents. Falling asleep writing this. talk to you soon.
Just rest now, Joan, and get well. Everything can WAIT. The most important thing now is for you to heal. Get off this board, crawl into bed and don't get up til Arlene says you can!
Hi all. Not looking at emails at all. Followng orders. Restng. Hooked to ice machine. Doing prescribed xercises. Taking pills. Lettng arlene run the show. Sid worried about me & more confused than usual but okay bcause arlene sticking to his routine. Bye for now.
Glad you are following orders Joan :) I hope the ice machine is helping with the pain. Glad to hear Sid is doing well and that Arlene is there to help! Take care of you <3
Take care of yourself... I know for someone who is always, busy and has had so much thrust at you, slowing down is difficult but you have the best assistance, your sister, ... relax,,, we love you for all you do and want nothing more than your well-being.. Peggy
As my grandmother said to my older brother when he got up out of bed ( he was about 4)...in her heavy German accent, " ( visualize her with her hands on her hips) What Are YOU Doing Out Of Bed? Scoot Young Woman!" Get well soon!
Monday I see the doctor. Tuesday Arlene goes home, and I think Wed. the home health aide my friend hired for me will start. Everyone says I have been doing great, but that's because Arlene has been running the show, and I have been doing nothing but resting, icing, and taking pain pills.
Have no idea how things will go once Arlene leaves - even now, every little change confuses Sid. I can see his confusion and forgetfulness mutiplying by the minute.
Hoping to get back to some webwork by next weekend, but who knows. Falling asleep as I am writing.
I hope the aide will be as great at "running the show". I hope your visit goes well on Monday. How long is the expected recovery time? Poor Sid, change is so hard for them..... keeping you in my thoughts and prayers ♥
Hello All I haven't chimed in here in far too long. But adding my good wishes for Joan's recovery and do hope whatever got surgeried is going to be better than 'new' . I'm also hopeful that you, Joan , are feeling much much better.
