Wanted to let the members here know that both Mary's and Briegull's husbands are doing significantly worse and they both could use our thoughts and prayers at this time.
Briegull's husband passed away at 7 a.m. this morning. She will write later. I started a discussion for her.
My husband is close. Yesterday morning his breathing was labored and he had that "rattle" in his throat. He was running a fever and non-responsive. The Hospice nurse and CNA came and he was given atropine for the rattle, morphine to ease his breathing, and a suppository of Tylenol for his fever. The Hospice nurse said he will probably pass in 5 - 10 days. Watching him in the bed, sleeping all the time, is so hard.
Debbie will soon come from London - I've notified the Red Cross. She can't leave without their okay. She should be here Sunday. My sons and their families are on their way.
I am so fortunate to have two friends (who are Alzheimer's widows from here at Joan's) with me for a visit! I am filled with the love and friendship of Lois and Fran! God decided to take my husband while he gave me close friends to be here with me.
Mary, I am so sorry....... I am glad your family is on their way and that Fran and Lois are there with you..... damn, I just don't know what to say.... you are deep in my thoughts, heart and prayers ♥
Mary, I am so sorry you're going throught this...I can only imagine how difficult it is. I am glad you have Lois and Fran with you while you prepare for the inevitable. You have been a wonderful caregiver and have done all you could possibly do for your husband. Thoughts and prayers for you and the family.
My heart is saddened for Mary and Briegull. Their Journey in AD has ended and another Journey has begun. May God bless them and their families and give them strength.nellie
Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad that you have family coming to support you and give you strength when strength is needed the most. Much love and hugs coming to you.
