I'm back and asking for prayers for my DH. He has a bad cough and is now running a temp of 101.3. Not sure if he has aspirated something into his lungs or something else going on. He was so hot this afternoon and I finally got the nurse to check his temp. It was 102 then and hasn't come down very much. He is having a very bad time.

Thank you all so much. This place is where I go for questions, information, help for my emotional needs and help for medical problems...and prayers. You have never failed me in any of those!!

He has a slight temperature this afternoon. Has a cough and also he is still doing this "panting" cough thing. Not sure what it is or how to explain it but I would think it makes his throat hurt he does it so much. He does drink lots of fluids and I guess that helps his throat as well as everything else.

Thanks again. You are all the best. Too bad we're in this together, because I wish we were not dealing with AD, but the flip side is I'm glad we're in this TOGETHER!

jackie you are so right about this site. Members are usually kind and supportive without being judgemental. The AA Forum can get quite toxic at times.

bluedaze, I thought I was the only one who felt that way. That being said there are a lot of good people on AA but this site is better for my needs..

Jackie, prayers have been sent ((Hugs)) I am curious if any testing has been done? The first thing that comes to mind with the coughing and high temp is pneumonia. Lynn had this a few months ago. A simple dose on antibiotics and he rebounded wonderfully. I hope they can figure out what is causing this and that he isn't too uncomfortable. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Jackie, the coughs make you feel like they are choking and you want to do whatever it takes to ease them, and there is very little in our power that we can do but love them, hold their hand and pray for them. Please know that you and your family are in our prayers.

    (((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))

    Love,
    Mary
