With all the storms the past few days especially in the south, maybe all our "family members" could check in here. Bama are you ok? I know you were looked for yesterday on April check in..
Northeast GA. got hit as well, but no bad storms here in Elberton area. I also keep checking to see if Bama has checked in. So many affected, praying for all.
Vickie, I get Bama on facebook, I haven't been on facebook today yet but I think she was on yesterday. If I hear from her I will let you know and you do the same. The devistation in those areas are just terrible. I woke up this morning to seeing the pictures and I was saddened.
To all my Momma's ALZ friends and everyone else...Momma and Daddy are fine, no power, some trees down but she has a landline phone that's working. She told me she had plenty of peanut butter and bread!!! God love my momma and daddy. I'm pretty sure that the above FB message is from Bama's daughter a few minutes ago
happy to hear bama and DH are ok. i thought of them too as the massive tornado passed birmingham.. prayers for all those in the paths of these terrific storms
We had storm after storm, very severe, here in East Tennessee. No damage here at our house but plenty of damage in our area. One house burned down after being struck by lightening. There was hail and wind damage, power outages, trees down and school was out today because of flooding. Not near the damage that we've seen in Alabama and Georgia though.
What an unbelievable number of storms and tornados. I hope Bama is back soon too and that everyone we know is alright. We even had a couple of small ones up here and that's rare for Ontario. I feel for the people that have been hit by them and have something to be grateful for that I wasn't even though my life has it's own serious problems.
I'm backkkkkk...This was one more bad tornado. We had 4 churches damaged and 2 blown away. Downtown was severely damaged with many building gone. Huge trees were down across from me but I had one tree and it came up by the roots and fell toward the street. Out in the county a lot of homes and chicken houses are gone. Cullman County is big producer of chickens so many families are hurting. 6 days without power was not fun and I am here to tell you cold showers are something I hope I never experience again. On top of all that my heating/cooling system bit the dust just before the storm and it is only now partially installed because they have to have dry weather to finish up. Anybody out there have $5,000 plus sitting around that you want to donate to needy person. LOL. DH is very confused but I guess that is nothing new. I was fussing the other night about being in the dark and then I thought about how blessed we were to have a roof over our head. I am just now catching up and your post thinking about us makes me realize what a wonderful family we are. Love you all ♥♥♥
Welcome back Bama! We missed you & we are glad that you are OK! Sorry to hear about all the destruction in your area. I saw the news report on the chicken farm. If I remember correctly none of their houses were hit & they actually didn’t have any chickens on the farm, but the farm itself was destroyed. Saying prayers for all the people affected there.
I posted a video on Facebook. I did not realize how dangerous this tornado was. It was classified as a 4 plus with the highest rating a 5. I sat here and watched videos of the damage last night to our beautiful old town and cried. Since we still don't have cable TV I had no idea how bad this was. Makes me very thankful that the Good Lord was watching over us. All this damage occured within walking distance from my house. Now, come on TV!!!! It's American Idol night..
Bama, I saw the video you had on facebook. The devistation is huge!! I am so glad that you made it through that. Do you have any peanut butter left? lol
