For the past couple of weeks, my dh has been really picking his nose during the night and causing nose bleeds. I have tried vaporizer, putting vaseline around inside of nostrils, using saline, and putting bandages on the fingers (but he seemed to be able to use them anyway). Any other suggestions?
    Thanks, Mary

This is a funny thing...my mom, when awake, would pick at the veins on her hands thinking they were blue worms. We had to get gloves for her to stop this.
Is your hubby awake when he does this? If so, maybe a visit to an ENT would be in order/

Maybe the gloves would work for your DH.

Will try the gloves. It is so hot here right now. Yes he takes a baby aspirin every morning.

Had some very good advice from one of the visiting nurses. Use a q tip with saline and gently rub inside of nostrils. Then add some A&D ointment to a q tip and rub around inside of nostril and a little on the outside. Do not take off the dried blood or it will begin to bleed again. I have done this for several days now and I think it is working.
