What a weekend so far. We love the NCAA tourney and have watched it game by game every year. This year DH has asked me over and over again when Kansas, Kansas State and Wichita State play. After about the 100th time I laughed and said that if he asked me one more time I would bonk him over the head. We laughed together over that one. Then I wrote down the times, channels and who they played so he would have it to look at. I forgot to write AM or PM on one of the games so he asked me if he needed to get me up by 7:30 tomorrow morning for a game. I told him it was in the PM. Had to write it down so he wouldn't get me up so damned early in the morning. We had a laugh over the whole thing but he read that piece of paper over and over again throughout the evening. SAD.
I like college basketball. I haven't watched much for the last couple of years, because DH doesn't like any sports and now he always wants to watch TV with me - mostly news and nature shows! I'm selectively watching the tournament - focusing on schools we have some connection to. Sorry about Kansas State, but I went to Wisconsin, so I rooted for them. That was a good game! We'll see what happens to Kansas today - we live in Illinois and DH went to University of IL. I guess we're on opposite sides on those match-ups!
The KY Wildcats have made it this far! We'll see how they continue. GO CATS! I never watched much of it but both DH and I have watched a lot of the games. He seems to enjoy it - but is constantly reading me the scores every few seconds. I don't even have to look!
DH only watches the games Ohio State plays. He goes in his room to watch them mainly because I don't like basketball and I can watch something else on the living room TV. That's IF there is something other than basketball!
I will be missing Charlie more than usual the next couple of weeks. He LIVED for college basketball. Loved it, no matter who played but of course he had his favorites. Yesterday would have been a great game for us. He would have rooted for Kentucky and I would have rooted for WVU and we would have have had a wonderful day. No more.
