Altho' I have doors to rooms locked as well as pantry and fridge, my hb wanders and gets into things, moves things, etc. I can't lock him out of the kitchen, living/dining room. So, what do you do (if you're in the place I am) to try to keep spouse happy and settled while you shower or bathe? It's like when kids were little, I get him ready to go someplace first; so I don't mess my clothes or work up a sweat; then it's my turn. He doesn't nap. He doesn't watch TV unless I'm sitting there, too. Doesn't read altho' he can. I have to hire a man to come supervise hb's showering because he won't let me.

I guess you could take your shower after he has gone to bed or before he gets up in the morning. This is a hard one, don't know what else you could do. Sorry

I take mine after he's in bed and asleep, although I leave the door open in case he wakes up and gets up- rarely. Or, first thing in the morning, before he wakes or gets up. So far, so good.

I had the same problem. Fixed it by both of us taking the shower at the same time.

At 1st DW would complain that she was always cold, to accommodate her I installed an adaptor to convert the shower head to accommodate two heads. That way I can always have water on her to help keep her warm. Works for now, not sure how much longer it will work though as she becomes more and more unsteady when standing.

Thanks for ideas. He won't take a shower w/me around, and he's a light sleeper. HOWEVER, the candy bar idea might work--SNICKER.

I had the shower together suggested to me but our shower is too small. Can't do a thing about that! I do like the idea of both of us being in the bathroom at the same time. Candy bar huh! My DH is a cookie monster so it would have to be a cookie.
