I think, in the midst of all the stress and frustrations we all face in caring for our LO, especially our men folk who are so afflicted, one thing that can help us keep on keeping on is to remember that, at least for those of us whose LO is retired and has an income from that career once held, in spite of it all, he is still working, he is still providing. Just sayin"....
That is what I tell my DH. That was the one thing that bothered him most was no longer being able to provide for his family. I told him his SSDI was more because of all his hard work. And the retirement income is helping us too. All I have to do is work part time and we are able to make ends meet for now. We are very blessed.
Mimi & blue: you both have it so right. I guess I never have thought of that way. Thank you for reminding me that it was all the hours that he worked that have given us the opportunities to travel when he was still healthy and to continue to provide for these times.
