I saw a ticker on FOXNews that Sergent Shriver is in critical condition. The ticker says what he is ill from is not know but he does suffer from Azlheimer's disease. Well, as we all can pretty well say that whatever, it is a result of AD on his body. At least that is my feeling.

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Former Peace Corps director and vice-presidential nominee R. Sargent Shriver was in critical condition Monday at a hospital in Maryland, a spokeswoman for the family said.

The 95-year-old was admitted at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda early in the day, the family said in an e-mail statement attributed to spokeswoman Kirsten Seckler.

No other details about his ailment were released and no more information about his condition was available late Monday. Shriver announced in 2003 that he had Alzheimer's disease.

We all need to be thankful that Maria Shriver has been so outspoken a volunteer about AZ. With new medical tests that may tell people years in advance that they have the AZ gene (whatever it is), the Reagan story is so sad because AZ is there for years before families understand and then sometimes long before the docs are brought in.

Joang, any progress on getting on Ron Regan's show? It is so important that people learn that the disease is there early and maybe it will be found to be an inherited gene. The one hope is that there will be progress on finding more to slow down the stages - early stages at least. Not sure I can handle many more at this or the next stage. Sometimes reading what others are already handling, not sure I have the courage for what's coming.

Does anyone know Maria Shriver's email address or how to contact her?
