Greetings--Today I'm thinking I might live. Yesterday I wasn't so sure. I've had t6his raunchy cough for about 2 weeks. It was gettig better but Saturday it started to get worse. Sunday it was worse and yesterday I couldn't breath

My doctor was out of town so I talked to his PA. She prescribed a whole bunch of stuff which I've been dilgently taking and today, like I said, I'm quite a bit better.

I overheard our youngest son ask our daughter "how sick is mom? What happens if she gets too sick to take carae of daddy?"

Our daughter reassured him that I would be fine the I thought his questions were very interesting. Now I know he's thinking about it.

I'm going to go find my couch and lay dow for a while. Have a good day--what's left of it.

Sounds like your family realizes that it is time to take a more active part in your life.

Sounds like your running by the standard rule that Mom's (and caregivers) and not supposed to get sick!

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, and I hope that your own doctor will be seeing you soon, if not, someone else who will help put you on your feet again. If necessary, go into Emergency and have one of their doctors, or specialists, look at you. Coughs can become serious, and getting worse suddenly like that, plus your fatigue, makes me think of pneumonia. At your age - and mine, we're about the same age - we need to be aware that pneumonia can be sub-acute and linger. You have enough symptoms to warrant someone listening to your chest and/or x-raying your lungs. Move it, Mawsy!

Thank you all for your thoughts, hugs and prayers. I am now on my second bottle of prescription cough syrup. Also I am getting a pulmonary function test on Monday. I think I am better. I do have a bit more energy but I sure do poop out in a hurry.

My little kitty, Noche, has been so affectionate with me. Sits on my lap a lot. He even slept with me last night. What a bed hog he is. He's just so soft and beauatiful. What a joy he is.

He loves DH. Whenever he hears DH's voice, he just goes running to see him. What a guy. He gets his toys for us to play with him. And will play with a piece of string for an hour.

Good to hear that you are feeling better. Noche sounds like a great little cat...so glad you have him around.
