I just checked my own profile and realized that I have only been a member of this forum since January 19th of this year. It seems like so much longer. Although I wasn't as active a poster as most, I read everything I could and I am so impressed with the sincerity, love and respect that everyone has for their LOs and for everyone else on the forum. It is a pleasure to be a part of it. I thank each and every one of you for the genuine concern and outpouring of love and prayer, especially during these last difficult days. I am not going away but I may take a short break after the funeral to clear my head and focus on my job again. I wish strength and love for each and every one of you.
Mark, I only just yesterday connected your AlzSpouse handle to which FB friend you are. It's a privilege to be witness to so many stories of hanging in there and seeing it through. Good luck and best wishes finding a new groove, and thanks for making us a part of it.
Thunder---You came to us a short while ago, but have a special knowledge to impart--experience with EOAD. It is good that you plan to take a break and re-focus, but even more so that you plan to keep in touch. Those of us with long term experience, like me, share all we can but we can't really know the condensed version you have gone through as Sharon's spouse/caregiver. You've walked that walk and that experience has given you a focus other spouses dealing with EOAD could benefit from. Pop back when you can----and wear your *.
Mark, I'm glad you're going to take break, you deserve it. Know that we are all here for you, and carosi is right. Wear your * proudly. You earned it. God bless you and your family.
Mark, like Emily I made the connection between FB and here. It helps to be able to put a name from one area to the name on another. I am so glad you came to this site for the abundance of resources Joan has provided for all of us caregivers. I have gotten so much out of this site and it's members. While taking your break just remember we still need your knowledge and input on this site. We will miss you but know you are on your way to recovering from this horrible disease that was thrust upon you and your family. Take care and rest, praying for you and yours.
