Thank you all for your kind words. My family is closing the circle around me and I feel remarkably serene. Sharon was trapped in a prison in her body and this is actually blessed release. Our daughter Kathleen is doing well and was so glad and proud to have been such a source of strength to me and her mom. She cared for her mom right to the end, we washed her body after she passed and dressed her in a beautiful satin nightgown. Sharon looked like an angel. It will be difficult for a while but Kathleen and I can move on knowing that we kept our promise to Sharon to make sure she was allowed to die on her own terms with dignity. I will miss her always but I am happy that she is free.

Oh my friend, you and your wife and daughter have been constantly in my thoughts since checking in earlier this week. I'm so relieved that the end came on Sharon's terms and that You and your beautiful daughter were there. You have both earned your Purple Hearts and your *Star*. Wear them with pride knowing that you are amoung an army of us who have done battle, been wounded and survived a horrendous enemy. As I've said before, there is another bright and beautiful star in the sky tonight. Take time to look up and smile. Watch for butterflies in the spring. She will be with you. Arms around and around, Susan*

Thunder, I am glad that you were able to give her such good care and to allow her to pass on knowing she was loved. I know at times we say things or think things that are unkind, but by your actions you have shown her what love is. I hope that you will find peace know that you did right by her. I wish you peace.
