Just got home from several delightful hours visiting Carol at the NH. We took a nice walk and saw some of the staff from the Moore Unit where Carol was before the Alz Special Care Unit she is in now. Carol seems recognize certain people but more likely she just senses a loving person and returns those love vibes in her own way. And that is pretty impressive.
Oh Bill, that's such wonderful news. I can feel the joy coming from your heart celebrating those moments with the love of your life. God bless you both.
I am with Zibby, it is nice to hear that someone has had a positive experience with their LO's in NH's it makes me feel a little better about the possibility of having my DH in a nursing home. Enjoy and celebrate your love for one another.
My computer is on the fritz. My email has been down for days. I may not be back up for a few more. Hope you see this.
edit - it took me ages to remember what my password was here until I was telling my cat it wasn't time to feed her yet and suddenly remembered. It was her name.
Bill, I agree it's nice to hear a "good" story from a spouse whose LO is in a facility. It does make those of us with spouses still at home that it might only not be so bad but very well be positive. Thanks for sharing Carol's "success".
Bill: Thank you for posting good news. I didn't have a good experience, but, that just makes me all the happier for you. I know that you will consider this to be a great blessing.
