Thanks to ALL of you for your sweet and caring notes of encouragement and peace...Our week was filled with many tears and laughter as we "remembered" my sweet Cliff. Life is so very brief...even in 65 years, we can still call that "brief". Several cards had poignant words of encouragement and quotes ~ ..."Grief is not a problem to be cured...it is simply a statement that you have loved"....."When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." I delighted in knowing and loving my sweet husband of nearly 23 years...we had known each other since I was 22 years old...I am now 50, and it was this same time of year 28 years ago that I first met him and fell in love with him...my whole adult life has been spent loving this sweet man...I have been blessed!! Love you each of you still on this journey...may God continue to lift you & uphold you, each and every day...With love, Debbie

As I said on Facebook, Deb, I just found out. So sorry I am so late in expressing my heartfelt condolences, but with being in the hospital etc..........Just remember my dear sweet fellow caregiver that NoONe but those who have been there can understand what it is to go through the horrors we have endured. You have Earned Your Purple Heart for injuries received in the line of duty and the *Star* to honor your and Cliff next to your name. Stay with us, post often, it helps, there is always someone nearby, as you know. I am 54, Jim was 62, yes much too young. The days/holidays ahead will be hard, first one for so many of us, but what could be harder than what we have been through??? If we sick together as we always have, We Will Survive! Arms around and around, Love, Susan*
