Hello all - I wanted my faithful co-caregivers to know that yesterday afternoon at 4:25 pm, my sweet husband drew his last soft breath as I held him in my arms and drifted into the sweet arms of Jesus. He is no longer held captive by the disease we call Alzheimer's, but instead is Home and Free! I am surrounded by sweet friends who love me deeply ~ Our daughter will be home tonite and other family coming in the days ahead to celebrate his life. Please keep us in your prayers. Debbie
Debbie--Such a Blessing for you both that he left so peacefully. Prayers with you and your family as you celebrate his life and move forward knowing he is finally Home and Safe.
Debbie, So sorry for your loss, but from your arms into the arms of Jesus, what a beautiful transition. He is at peace & the next time you see him he will be whole.
Yes, Debbie, the faithful co-caregivers here really are a part of our caregiving. We also grieve with you when you suffer the final loss. Unless it's too painful, please stay and help the rest of us through this awful journey. {{{Hugs}}}
Debbie, we celebrate his life as well and rejoice that he is home and free. Deepest sympathies to you and your family. Please stay in touch with us; you are family here.
My deepest sympathy for your loss. I'm sure you'll find comfort knowing that he is now free from this dreaded disease and safe in the arms of Jesus. I hope I'm as brave as you when my dear husband passes. Peace.
Debbie, the picture of you holding your DH in your arms is a very comforting picture and I hope that it brings you comfort as you go through the process of healing! Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing.
