I live in Raleigh, NC, a great place. We have lived here for 43 years and originally are from Scranton, PA. There is an active Alzheimer's Association and we are in a support group for people in early stage. My husband likes it and it helps me to see other caregivers. I think I will join a support group aimed specifically at caregivers. Maryd
Welcome, thenneck: My grandparents lived in White Fish and Columbia Falls. An aunt lived in Kalispell. Lovely country. I loved visiting the Flathead lake. Also the story my grandfather told me about the hungry horse dam and how it got its name. Good stuff.
We live in the upstate of South Carolina. We both grew up in Virginia, but we moved here over 40 years ago. We are only an hour from the Blue Ridge Mtns and 3 1/2 hours from the coast.
Janet just sent me the table she worked out (with Fran's help, I think) with all of your names and States. It's fantastic, and quite fascinating, also. I plan to make it part of the new "Connect With Other Members" section on the left side of the home page.
Looks like briegull is the only one from Rhode Island. I grew up in Rhode Island. Went to Hope High School and University of Rhode Island.
Looks like Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Vermont have only one each. 4 from Canada.
These are just the members who have written under this topic. I have received e-mails from Alaska, Hawaii, Austrailia, England, and Brazil. This website now gets over 1 million hits a month, so I know there are many, many, many more who read but don't write.
Blessed, it's great that you've decided to come out of the closet! Welcome to our family. I'm very sorry we didn't notice your first post ... however did that manage to sneak by us?
Still from the Puget Sound (Washington State). I just thought I'd add that again because I don't see too many from the west coast and I wanted to keep this post balanced. :):) Welcome to all of you new people.
Nansea, I am in Taylorsville, NC. That is maybe 30 minutes from you. We went right by you this week on the way to Salisbury to the VA. Nice to hear someone else is near.
