After reading Joan's blogs and posts I realized that she lives near me. We finally got to meet today over a long lunch. We were good-had salads. What a great lady she is. When she had no where to turn to she created one. Now we are all part of the family and have a place to let it all out.

Thank you Joan. You don't know, can't even imagine, what this site has done for me.

ditto Joan- and all who take the time to offer comments-, those of us who dont get out all that much anymore, due to latter stage AD, its a lifeline to the outside world and to new friendships with people who know the REAL story on AD. its especially nice to be with spouses who have afflicted AD spouses, we seem to have our own particular issues to discuss.

    Bluedaze,

Lucky you. I wish I could meet our wonderful web mistress! Joan, I know how much maintenance a website takes. I do it for a living.

Joan, thanks for creating such a wonderful place for us to chat. I really feel a sense of family when I visit.

Bluedaze was lucky enough to have you close by. Would it be a problem for us to start a subject titled, What city do you live iv? Everyone could say and then maybe we could trade e-mails through you if we are close enough to each other to have a long lunch?

Thank you all for your kind words. Believe me, I get as much support from all of you as you get from me and each other. When I write about feeling so down and depressed about something AD has done to my life, your comments that you are all going through the same emotions help me more than you can ever realize.

I'll start a discussion topic - Where are you from?

Actually no. I'm pretty sure that we, as a group, know things that the medical establishement are not yet aware of. It has happened to me before.

Also, individually some of us are extremely knowledgeable about certain areas that all of us need info about. And if anyone fits that description, Jane is the one.

And finally, some of us have just been threre and done that and no one can explain things like someone who has had the real experience.

Joan, I want to say "Thank you" to you again for this site and answering our e-mail and all that you do for us.

I plan on meeting Joan on the February cruise! I hope a lot of you can come. It will be a great experience to meet each other and relax together too! (I am bringing my grown daughter and my husband - she will stay with him when I'm in seminars if there is no "activity" for the husbands who attend)

So many of you have given information and shared your experiences that have made my life more bearable this year. Thank you all!
