I've been thinking about how wonderful it would be if those of us who live in New England and surrounding areas could meet somewhere in the middle. Of course, everyone is welcome! I also know how difficult it is for any of us to find a respite caregiver, but I still would like to try.
Any ideas? Thoughts? Dates? Locations?
I really need to meet people who understand what I am going through. Maybe we could even have a laugh or two!

If their e-mail addresses are in their public profiles, you can write to them. They are from RI. Go to the home page - www.thealzheimerspouse.com, and look on the left side. Scroll all the way down until you come to the box with the picture of the globe. It is titled "Where are we From?" Our members are listed by State. You can send out an e-mail to all of them in your area. I will also put up an announcement on the home page.
Yes, you people in New England or on the whole east coast are close to each other. It is always strange to drive thru many states i one day. Here on the west coast and much of the west it takes a day just for one state.

I'm thinking a Road Trip might be in order! I've got Nikki in NH, Ann in VT, I know there is someone in MA. Anyone else in New England, RI, CT, etc. I'll use my new GPS to find you all!
How about the midwest folks join us in New England? Sure, it is past peak in Vermont, but if we can all get together....we will surpass PEAK! How about it?
If I'm going to join the party, I'd like some more men to attend (that is, men caregivers). Anyplace outside of Maine will be a 4-5 hour drive for me. The area of Maine is greater than all the rest of New England combined.
