Thank you Joan, for posting the link to "An Evening With Barry Petersen". I will be attending a reception before his talk, the talk, and then participate on a panel discussion after. What I would like to ask him is what were the symptoms his wife displayed that caused him to feel it was time to place her, and was she on any psych meds at the time? As I recall, the book sort of glossed over that, said the hired companion couldn't control her and recommended placement. Perhaps he omitted the details for a reason, but I think it would help people to understand more of what lead up to him moving her to a residential facility. If anyone has any other ideas, please post them. Thanks.

We're having a preparatory meeting tomorrow--I think the idea of the panel was to have others there to put "the big personal question" in proper perspective.
