It's only Wednesday at 11:15 am and I'm afraid this week will NEVER end!!! It's been one thing after the other and I'm really getting fed up with this week.

I've been trying to get all our bills to be automatically paid.I don't have too many--just utilities and the VISA billl--it's not a bad job pretty straight forward--although with this vision of mine, it takes 3X as long to get anything done.

One vendor doesn't take VISA and isn't set up for automatic payments. So, I tried to get into my bank account to do it from here. Naturally, they have everything printed in light blue and I can't read it. So, silly me, I tried calling the bank. I timed it. After almost 5 minutes I FINALLY got a live body. He was in Houston, Texas and wasns't able to help me. He said I would have to go into the branach officde and have them help me. I live in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. How in the heck did I end up in Texas. My friend told m,e it was better than India. (She's so funny.) She's taking me to the bank tomorrow.

I had my grandsons do some painting for me. They spilled the paint can. They got it pretty well cleaned up but it still needs more work.I wanted to have the deck stained--it's pouring down rain.

Today is the final straw--The water in the shower was haywire--the water wouldln't go up to the shower head. So, I called our friendly plumber and $160.28 later, he had fixed that problem but told me I had leaky caulking around the tub. Black mold had settled in and when he pushed on the surround, he said the sheetrock was wet underneath. Then he told me that sheetrock won't dry out--it just rots and grows more mold.

Besides all of that, DH is so confused. He can't remember if he's eaten or not. He can't tell if he's hungry. He's getting more and more careless with his bathroom habits and I'm just afraid this rotten week will never end.

Thanks for listening. And thanks for coming to my pity-party.

Mawzy...this too will pass. It always does. Just hang in there and the sun will shine again. Hugs and prayers for you.

Mawzy, I'll bring the wine and cheese and we'll settle down and remember the old days for a while....maybe that will help you get through the week! You have a way of telling the bad things that happen to you in a way that brings a smile to my face. You've always been able to do that. I missed you when you were gone.....

That sheetrock problem is probably going to cost a pretty penny to replace, along wiht the leak. I would call my homeowner's insurance and have them come out and see if any part of it would be covered. Some policies do, some don't.

On your hubby's eating, I remember coming home from work and seeing two slices of bread laying out on the counter, stale, where he was going to fix himself a sandwich, then lost the thought and went to do something else and never ate. The next day there was a weiner in the microwave that was hard as a rock. He had placed it there and cooked it too long! The day after that, I started coming home and preparing his lunch and make sure he ate it! <grin>

The bathroom habits - buy vinegar and a mop that has throwaway pads! That stage will pass, but it isn't pleasant!!!

How about a bank that offers easy online bill paying? Maybe it's more trouble than it's worth to change these things now, but that's my solution. As for the other stuff...sometimes life just likes to pile it on.

Mawzy - don't you live in the Tacoma area? I am in Elma which is only an hours drive away. We will be moving to Graham next week, but that still is not that far away. If I can be of help like taking you to the bank or something, let me know.

Dear Charlotte--what a nice gesture! Thank you so much for your kind thoughts.

Actually, I live in Federal Way (a bit north of Tacoma). And fortunately, my friend who drives me to do errands on Thursday, took me to the bank yesterday. Very fruitful visit with the banker. I've met him before and how we're old friends (smile). That makes it nice when you actually have someone who knows you and can give personalized help.

Then we went to the new Fred Meyer up here for my weekly supply of groceries. While there, I bought DH a couple pair of new Docker's and three beautiful shirts and some new underwear. I have to take one pair of pants back and one shirt--they don't fit. But it's no problem.

Things are much better today. I am now going to call the insurance company and see if our homeowner's policy will cover the bathroom. By golly, I am getting to be so efficient. All due to the wonderful hints and tips from this group.

Charlotte--again--thanks for your offer. I will keep you in mind and if I need help, rest assured, I will call on you. Blessings!
