My husband had left a small annuity to me, his sole beneficiary. Not much, but something. When i brought him home from Florida (when he had visited his sister for an extended period), I found that the kids had cooerced him into making them the beneficiaries (only three of them). I did the "Bobbit" threat and he signed the papers and went with me to have them notarized, making me the beneficiary once again. (smart move on my part) Called the Annuity company yesterday....they had sent the paperwork to my stepson, the lawyer. Yes, they recognized that I am the sole benificiary. Said they'd expedite the papers to me. Still haven't seen anything. Thought I'd get them overnight. Ya know, it occurs to me that my daughter had asked me for a death certificate of her dad's. Now I know what it was for. Interesting conversation I'm planning on having with her this evening. Ya think I'm gonna have a problem here???

Depending upon how aggressive your daughter is, you'll either get the in-your-face "I didn't do anything wrong and I deserve something so back off" or the not looking you in the eye and dancing around the issue response because her husband made her do it. I think that's greedy despicable behavior! After all, you're the one who gave up so much of your life to take care of your husband; I'm betting that she and her husband were AOL with his care (hope I'm wrong). Btw, what is the "Bobbit" threat?

Heeeee-heeeee....remember a few years ago, when the unhappy wife, well, cut off her hubbie's pee-pee and threw it into a field? It was found, evidently, and "reconnected". Poor guy went on on TV and did all sorts of talk show interviews. I really don't remember what happened to MRS. Bobbit.....probably something horrible....and undeserving, unsympathetic.
