DW has Medicare, I am 56 and have a crappy Blue Cross policy. I was just notified they are raising the rates 20% after one year of having the policy and no claims. When you apply for the insurance you list your medical history and then they issue you a policly that excludes the issue you have had.

Is there a group policy for caregivers?

    What are my best options?
  1.
Contact your local Chamber of Commerce and see if they can fit you into a group. BC put me into a farmers' group. I had to pay a nominal membership-but I did get monthly bulletins about hog raising. (very big grin)
  2.
Thank you so much, I never thought of getting into a group.

Association group insurance truly is a group, and the prices go way down as a result. Never occurred to me to ask the Chamber of Commerce, but I do know that some of them actually run groups for health insurance. Wouldn't hurt to ask.
