When we went to the diabetic doctor, just before I went to Iceland, I told the doctor there had to be a better way to control his glucose and have fewer pricks and sticks..that this glucose check 4 times a day plus the5 injections was NOT working out, he would forget or just refuse to do it..So he was kept on the Lantus morning and evening and a new insulin called Victoza once a day. His numbers are better.a lot better, and it is easier to get him to do this especially as he has to use an inhaler and take a battery of tablets every morning. Just passing this along for those who are also having to deal with insulin injections for the LO.
