I received a follow up call yesterday from a Social Security representative letting me know that my 60 year old husband was approved for disability. It was 17 business days after pplying online. They were very nice and helpful. Everyone's hard work from lobbying in Washington, writing notes and making phone calls truly made a difference for my early onset spouse. Thanks to all of you who have helped with this effort!
With a 17-day approval timeframe, it does look like EOAD being included in the compassionate allowances process has really made a difference! We got an approval after about 3 months when my husband applied 5 years ago--I thought that was fast. Great!
