My DW was diagnoised about 2 yrs ago at age 60. In the early days she had good days and bad days. It seems for the last few months she is fairly stable day to day . I think the good days have gone away and it has been replaced by just average days. In other words she is more stable in her abilities each day.

Is this normal in the mid stages? I have also changed our diet about 6 months ago where we eat very little processed food. We eat fresh or frozen greens every day. Eat nothing that will not rot if you leave it out.

I am wondering if the diet is the reason, or is this just normal that they level off.

Every AD patient is different, but it's "normal" (whatever that is) to go up and down, up and down, then stabilize, then go down, stabilize, go down, go up a little, go down, stabilize. If she is stable for a longer period of time, enjoy it while you can.

A healthy diet is a good no matter what.
