I've read in several comments that LO's are taking neurontin.My husband was prescribed it for intense burning in his legs,caused by his lower spine.Both times his AZ got much worse in 4 or 5 days and I had to stop it.The dr. said he has to make a choice between burning legs or a more mixed up mind.Has anyone else noticed it making AZ worse?
yhouniey-- we have had no experience with Neurontin, however, we have had exprience witb other meds, where one did nothing, one made him sleep all the time, another worked but cause joint pain, and finallyone, that while not perfect, addressed the confucion/agitation quite well without those problems. My DH is on 2 meds, being used off label for his tremors. I'd look for another opinion. I'll bet there are more meds besides Neurontin for his burning leg sensation. Maybe check with a Pain Management Center or a Dr. who is familiar with peripheral neuropathies.
