    Since my husband doesn't seem to qualify for ALF, I've been wondering at what point does it change to a NH? Are there different rules for different states?

    Just curious..........and would love your thoughts!

    Ann,

    I do believe ALF and nursing home qualifications vary from State to State. Call your local Elder Affairs Office for eligibility criteria. Generally, it is based on the amount of ADL assistance needed and cognitive ability.

    I am moving the BAP comments to that topic, because I want to make sure others interested or participating in that trial see those comments.
