After a few years of caregiving, I am realizing that I am having an involuntary sex change operation!! and I am coming out of the closet..
Yesterday, I gained 2 favorite girlfriends...yep you ladies know what I mean..not the typical man girlfriends, but girl girlfriends..
That made me think of how I have changed... I now enjoy cooking, am forced to do cleaning, I know about makeup, shop for things that are so feminine that I still blush,I can cry easier than ever, I have PMS, and I think I am now a psychological female (oops I mean psychological phemale.
So now there is one more sex available....male, female, shemale, and phemale....

I just updated my post,..after looking in the mirror, it seems that I am developing breasts at the age of 61. That is not supposed to happen until I hit at least 75!!!!

Well, Phranque, some of us females have turned into "shemales". We have learned to mow lawns, maintain autos, shovel snow, take over family finances, make the "big" decisions and figured out how to shave a face and trim hair from ears and noses.......I, thankfully, never grew testicles although I have been described as "ballsy"! LOL......

Hurray to all of us who are undergoing metamorphisis.. I guess we are all very "ballsy.."

And we are very inquisitive, trying to learn how to handle everything in the home and on the outside of the home, while maintaining jobs and/or budgets, while taking care of a loved one that we know can't survive....I call us SUPERPEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

(Of course we all have the needed parts to do our jobs!) <grin>

So that's what happened to me! Now I understand, I thought it was just a strange variation of MEN-O-PAUSE!

How refreshing, Phranque,,, I love your writings... All of us have either, withdrawn or gone full fledged ahead... I thought I'd lost femininity... Just so you know ,I am a petite, 100 lb wonder, always a strong person but had no idea what I COULD do when the chips are down.. Well, the CHIPS are down and I am coping and,,, GRIN.. with the help of some well intentioned male friends... No, I do not feel a bit guilty, flattered beyond words... At a time when many of our caregiver days give us feelings of uselessness.., Some attention is welcomed and did I say, I am absolutely gorgeous....I need a door opened for me, and I love being told I'm beautiful... It makes my 24-7 caregiving job more do-able and I honestly think I am more patient than I ever was before... So, I'm not saying that everybody should fall in the sack with the milk man but when some great fellow yells "Hay , gorgeous,,, Let him buy your coffee, end it and go on to the next angel that believes you're worth something... There, You all said VENT... Boy did I....?? Loveya

Phranque... Nothing gets by you does it... I don't remember what I did on my B/D... How very nice to meet someone soooo observant... In a world where almost all I say is rewarded with a "WHAT" look and otherwise must be repeated 10 times then forgotten instantly, this is refreshing... This link may well be the best thing I've ever done... WELL, maybe NOT the best... Thanks to all you support..

Peggy, I also noted that you did not post your email so guys like me cannot harrass you....... not that I can blame you....
If you ever watch the movie Patch Adams, well I was Robin Williams trainer.... You should see the balloon creatures that I can create with surgical rubber gloves..
I can make zebras, kangaroos, giraffes, lions, helicopters, airplanes, rockets, slingshots. facemasks, water balloons, rockets, wine coolers (my favorite...you fill the glove with wine, poke a small pinhole in the middle finger, then give it to the patient to suck on....) cures everything except alcoholism...!!

Oh Good Lord, I'd forgotten about that movie! Hysterical, I was in tears, and to think it was based on a true story! So see Phranque there is hope for a life after caregiving just for you, Balloon MD!
