We had a very exciting morning - I was in Miami hosting a Bon Voyage Brunch for our cruisers. Please log onto the home page - www.thealzheimerspouse.com - to read the blog and see the pictures. Some of you "virtual cruisers" are also in the pictures.
Dear Joan, How wonderful of you to host that surprise brunch. I guess I'm out of the loop because I really am surprised! Everyone looks excited and I'm so happy for them. A little envious too because it looks like God is shaking powdered sugar outside my windows. I'm looking forward to everyones stories and pictures next week. You're a great gal Joan. xox cs
Thank you so very much for posting this, Joan. The brunch idea was great! I know everyone is already enjoying themselves on the cruise! Be safe, have fun and bring back lots of stories for us!
Those pictures are great! And Mary, no wonder they call you Red. Somehow you all looked familiar, as if your words were written on your faces. Gee, I could go for Frank - too bad you're younger than I am.
wow I for one am surprised. I guess I was not in the loop!!!!!!!!!! Looks like alot of fun!! How great is it to be able to put a face with a name??????????? Thanks for doing that Joan, I hope everyone has a great cruise and gets out of this ice and snow, even here in South Georgia
I'm having a great virtual time on the cruise, but getting tired of looking at the ceiling of somebody's cabin...will someone please lean me against the wall or a lamp, so I can see what's going on?
I'm not exactly sure where they are taking you, but I've been on this cruise before, and I'll bet you're having a good time at the show tonight with all the dancing showgirls. And one way to get to the theater on that ship is to go through the casino, so you're probably raking in the dough at the slots.
I am the luckiest guy in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I woke up this morning surrounded by a dozen absolutely beautiful women, and it was not a dream, nor do I remember what happened last night. Someone gave me some great wine, and things got out of hand...when I woke up, I was surrounded by the most incredible beautiful women in the world. I also met some gentleman named Sid, and I told him that caregiving had its benefits..... This was the best!!!!! The brunch was my first "day of respite" in over 3 years, and it was totally uplifting to meet the members of this site. I received more hugs than I ever thought possible, and it is so so much better than cyber hugs.. As I observed the wonderful ladies, I realized how much we depend on each other to get through this difficult journey, and how fortunate we are to have each other when the need arises. These are probably the only people who really understand what we are going through, and although each case is so different, we know that their concern is sympathetic and they really know what is going on.
Just like this site being just what we need so are the pictures. It is really good to put the faces with the names. I am excited to see more pictures and hear the stories of all the fun everyone is having. Hope everyone has a fabulous time....
