Does anyone else get in a loop when doing things on Facebook, or is it my computer? Like I click on the group icon and it goes blank but never comes up with the group screen. ?????!!!! The only way out is to ctrl-alt-del, and end the pgm.

I had problems with FB yesterday - all I could access was my profile page. No news feed, friends, etc. No where else to go! Haven't checked it this morning. I hate the new format -can't get to anything.

The whole program was glitchy for a few days while they changed format but if you are still having trouble today, Joe, you may have a problem with your pc. Are you having problems with any other sites?

sometimes when I have problems, instead of clicking on the link or icon, I RIGHT-click on it and select "Open in New Tab" or "Open in New Window" and that will work - good luck!

No problem with anything else, Julie, it's just the changes being made, I guess, and with the millions of users, I'm sure they are motivated to fix things, even if it takes days. Software is so much fun...that's why I changed careers to Accounting years ago!

Kathi - just click on 'status update' on the left and only post will show up - none of the game info.

I have been having problems with FB the last 3 or 4 days, especially when I am playing zoo world. I kept getting redirected to 404 error page. Yesterday I tried using IE and did not have the problem. I am thinking the work they have been doing on FB is not yet compatible to Mozilla Firefox.

You may be right, Charlotte. I'm using Firefox and having troubles. Maybe I'll switch to IE and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just switched to IE from Firefox and got the following message: You may want to upgrade your browser.
You're using an old version of Internet Explorer to browse Facebook right now. Facebook will work better for you if you upgrade or switch to another browser.

    Upgrade to Internet Explorer 8
    Switch to Firefox
    Switch to Safari
    Switch to Google Chrome

Well, I WAS using Firefox! LOL

I get something like that every time I load IE. I just click 'remind me later' and go on. I have IE 8.0 so it is just updates. If the version you have doesn't work, then do the update. I posted in the zoo world forum my problem and also sent a complaint to firefox complete with the webpage I get sent to (404 error).

According to the News today Facebook is doing a face-lift for the site's 6th birthday. The changes started rolling out Thurs. and are being changed in stages. So we are not all seeing them right away. Something else to learn. Links and items have moved around the home page as they try to make games nd apps stand out. Time does not stand still and sometimes changes are not better. The Beat Goes On. LOl....

MANY times changes are not better. A lot of the games in FB rely on Flash, and Flash isn't the best thing to rely on. Adobe's been pushing it for years, it's in an enormous number of websites, but it's not particularly compatible with Firefox nor with iPhone/iTouch. In fact, Apple won't go near Flash except in Safari. It's slow, it eats up a lot of memory and space, and generally doesn't play too well with others. But it's around a lot, so FB and others have to try to adjust.
