My DH has been talking in his sleep lately which he never did before. In fact he has been speaking very clearly and will hold a conversation with me on whatever he's thinking/dreaming about if I ask him some questions. What makes this unusual is that I have to pull a conversation out of him during waking hours. I usually get 1 or 2 word answers or at best 2 sentences when he's awake and doing daily chores. Has anyone else experienced this with their LO?

I see I am not alone. DH got to the point about a month ago that he could no longer make sentences. About a week ago he started talking in his sleep. Prefectly formed, intelligent sentences. People used to always come to him when they needed to know something. Everyone would say "the smartest man I know". Now he does good to turn a light off. But in his sleep here of late he can be heard explaining to someone how to fix things. I have given this some thought and I wonder if maybe their subconscious has remained unaffected. It was certainly a surprise to me.

My DW was doing this for several months, in fact she would speak in full voice, I would wake up and she would be back asleep. I think she was just dreaming and would vocalize what ever was going on in the dream. She has not done that in a couple of months.

My dh was talking and laughing in his sleep early this morning. I so enjoyed hearing his talking and even saying his name (when I ask him what his name or my name is, he mearly laughs). He has not said much for such a long time that this was so enjoyable for me. The words were so very clear. I sure miss his conversations. He was always the talker and me the listener.
