In just the last few weeks, we have noticed a major decline in Carol's physical health. The Leaning to the Left is big thing but she is also walking much less and then it is very bad shuffle. Balance is not good and she slipped off her kitchen stool and bruised her hip. Don't think anything is broken but big bruise. Much more difficulty eating. BM's are getting more dangerous and often very messy. Getting in and out of bed is almost more than I can handle. I have severe degenerative lunbars and both shoulders have blown out the ligaments and rotater joint. I think the Al facility is upon us.
We were planning to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary on the 15th or soon thereafter, but I am now having second thoughts on that. She would not understand at all and so many attendees have not seen Carol in years. I was going to have local Alz chapter put up a little table with info and forms to send to Carol's Tribute place . Very difficult to make decisions at this time but my two kids are being very supportive. Will let you know as the decision time approaches. bill
Oh Bill, how awful for you. I'm sure that you will make the decision that is best for both you and Carol. Maybe you could have the party and just have her make a short "guest appearance"?
