Thank you all for your support, it means so much. So, I did get pretty serious with both the doctor and the DMV. The doctors office was shaken, as I think they were worried about negative reports or even worse. The psychologist told me they had a staff meeting that very day to change the procedures. However, she also told me that I should just show the report to my DH, and just let him deal with it. That's fine, however she sure doesn't have to live with him. The things I said, involved personal...well some sexual content, and some cleanliness issues, along with judgment issues. Not something that he needed to hear, or I ever wanted him to hear...and he brought it to my attention every day for about a month. DMV said we could expect a letter in the mail, with their decision in about a week, however, if they revoke his license, he is totally going to blame me, since the lady at DMV used the argument...well, your wife says....incidating the decision was being because of my comments. It has now been over a month, we me living on pins and needles everyday waiting for the letter, and guess what???? NO LETTER! I tried to go to the highest authorities I could at DMV, but they sort of indicated they had every right to use whatever was in the report from the doctor, and they told me DH had a right to hear it all too. My complaint was that the reason for questioning his license, was dementia, now who in their right mind would think it okay to read that info to a person with dementia. So, after many hours on the phone, they told me they too were instituting a new policy. That is mostly what I wanted, as this was...is a horrible experience, and I pray no one else has to go through it. It could get somebody HURT! Oh, and DH said he will never go to the Alzheimer's center again! And for him, memory isn't too much of a problem, so no telling how long he will remember this...oh well. :-(

Glad you took it up the ladder; disappointed in DMV, still. I'd let the dr's ofc sweat a little longer thinking of possible repercussions. So sorry this happened.
