You must get a picture and post on the Facebook group. That will be one worth seeing. Kind of like the 'old days' where you decorate with whatever is on hand.
At least it will stop the cats from pawing at the tinsel.................and it must be painful to set then and not have them go off when you hang them....
I hope he didn't put cheese on each one or you might have more than you bargained for. Can you picture the mice going after the cheese and the cats going after the mice? Then you can't forget the dogs going after the cats that are going after the mice who are going after the cheese. This could be a very active Christmas for you.
Most original Christmas tree idea I've heard yet this year! I was just talking to my Mom in Ohio and she has a mouse in the kitchen. He seems fat and slow and she's afraid he was somebody's pet and has escaped. She's looking for her mousetraps and is blaming my brother (who does everything for her) for throwing them out (she always blames us for throwing her stuff out but she knows we mean well). I told her to borrow a mousetrap from the neighbors so that's what she's planning to do.
I should have read this first. I could have told her to buy several new ones because they can double as Christmas tree decorations.
Do we have someone w/talent to sketch the illustration for the upcoming children's book: The Christmas of 98s. "Picture the mice going after the cheese and the cats going after the mice? Then you can't forget the dogs going after the cats that are going after the mice who are going after the cheese."
Well, apparently the neighbors didn't have any mouse traps either because she didn't set any, but she hasn't seen the mouse for a couple days now so she's hoping it went back outside. For two days she saw it all the time, and she put all the crackers and other food that usually sits on a countertop into her car for safekeeping.
The mouse traps are already baited with PLASTIC cheese, like a mouse wouldn't know the difference. They were made in good oldLancaster County,PA.Our mice won't even go for real cheese.
Peanut Butter, butter or margarine are all great for catching mice. they like the 'fats' in them I guess. I always had good luck with the peanut butter.
