Anyone who is interested in reading Foster's obituary that Nancy has composed - it will be in the Houston Chronicle on Sunday. Here is the web address:

    http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/houstonchronicle/

He really lived a full life, and you can feel Nancy's love pouring through each word.

What is Nancy's surname? I looked under the last 3 weeks but didn't see anyone named Foster and not knowing the surname didn't help!

Foster Cathcart. I followed the link and found that Jean-Claude Christo had died (but not Foster). I saw Jean-Claude and her husband driving around NYC when they had erected The Gates, those orange panels on frames that were all over Central Park in the winter a few years ago. Her hair was approximately the same color as the Gates.

Dear Nancy .......... Words can not lessen the sorrow of losing your husband. As time goes by may you find comfort in the memories of all the things that made him special.

Everyone, there is a shortened version of Foster's obituary at the following website, if you would like to read it and leave condolences there:

    http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/houstonchronicle/obituary.aspx?n=j-foster-cathcart&pid=136168828

The longer obituary will appear in Sunday's addition at the website listed earlier.

I realize that in the past we didn't do this, but after reading Foster's, I got such a better essence of the man he was and what he had accomplished in his life, and I think we should continue this tradition in the future. Of course, this is an individual choice each of us will have to make.

Nancy, I Googled "Foster Cathcart obituary" and was led to the short version, with the information that Sunday there will be a longer, in=depth one. What a fine looking man he was! How cruel this desease was to have taken that dignity and charm away from him. I know you must be grateful for the good times you shared with him over the years.

My mother shared this site with us and we, as a family, are grateful to you for the support and friendship you have shown her during these difficult days. In case some of you did not see our Dad's complete obituary, you can find it at:

    http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/houstonchronicle/obituary.aspx?n=j-foster-cathcart&pid=136168828

Your comments and well wishes can be added to the guest book after the obituary. We appreciate your notes and words of encouragement to our mother. She devoted her entire life to the care of our father. Now, she is trying to take care of all of us. That's our mother!
